Cookies
Our website uses cookies in several places. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. They serve to make our offerings more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Furthermore, cookies enable our systems to recognize your browser and offer you services. Cookies do not contain any personal data.
Use of the remarketing or “similar target groups” function of Google Inc.
The provider uses the remarketing or “similar target group” function of Google Inc. (“Google”) on its website. This function enables the provider to target visitors to the website with advertising by displaying personalized, interest-based advertisements to visitors to the provider’s website when they visit other websites in the Google Display Network. Google uses cookies to analyze website usage, which forms the basis for creating interest-based advertisements. To do this, Google stores a small file with a string of numbers in the browsers of visitors to the website. This number is used to record visits to the website and anonymous data about website usage. No personal data of visitors to the website is stored. If you subsequently visit another website in the Google Display Network, you will be shown advertisements that are highly likely to take into account previously viewed product and information categories.
You can permanently disable the use of cookies by Google by following the link below and downloading and installing the plug-in provided there:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de
Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies by third parties by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and following the instructions there.
Further information on Google remarketing and Google’s privacy policy can be found at: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/
Use of the ExactTarget remarketing function
We use the remarketing function of the email service provider ExactTarget, Inc., 20 North Meridian Street Suite 200 Indianapolis, Indiana 46204 USA (“ExactTarget”). If you have agreed to receive our newsletter and visit our site via a newsletter, cookies are used. This enables us to track the effectiveness of our newsletters, e.g. whether you have opened an email or which part of the newsletter was particularly interesting.
ExactTarget also uses so-called web beacons in the majority of emails sent by ExactTarget. Web beacons (also known as clear GIFs or tracking pixels) are small graphics (approx. 1×1 GIF files) that are used on websites or in HTML emails, among other things, to give website operators a better understanding of how visitors interact with the website. Web beacons perform similar functions to cookies, but are not noticeable to the user. Web beacons can be used in particular to obtain information about whether the email has been opened and whether the user’s system is capable of receiving HTML emails. No personal data is collected via the web beacon.
If you do not wish to receive email communications with web beacons, you can also choose to receive your emails in text form (not in HTML format). Web beacons are used in conjunction with cookies. You can therefore prevent the use of web beacons by preventing the installation of cookies through the appropriate settings in your browser software. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent.

Use of Facebook remarketing
The provider uses the remarketing function “Custom Audiences” of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) on the website. This function enables the provider to target visitors to the website with advertising by displaying personalized, interest-based Facebook ads to visitors to the website when they visit the Facebook social network. To perform this function, the Facebook remarketing tag is implemented on the provider’s website.
This tag establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers when you visit the website. This tells the Facebook server which of our web pages you have visited. Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. For more information about the collection and use of data by Facebook, your rights in this regard, and options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. If you do not want Facebook to assign the collected information directly to your Facebook user account, you can deactivate the remarketing function “Custom Audiences” here. To do this, you must be logged in to Facebook.
Use of Google Adwords Conversion Tracking
We use the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and, as part of Google AdWords, conversion tracking. Google Conversion Tracking is an analysis service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”).
When you click on an ad placed by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is stored on your computer. These cookies have a limited validity, do not contain any personal data and are therefore not used for personal identification.
If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. This means that cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers.
The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. These statistics tell customers the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they will not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by preventing the installation of cookies through the appropriate settings in your browser software (deactivation option). You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
Further information and Google’s privacy policy can be found at: http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/
Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link [http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de].
Use of social plug-ins via “Shariff”
To enable you to retain control over your data, data protection-compliant “Shariff” buttons are used on these web pages to integrate the sharing functions of social media services. Without your express consent, no links to the social network servers are established and, consequently, no data is transmitted.
“Shariff” is a development by the specialists at the computer magazine c’t. It enables greater privacy on the internet and replaces the usual “share” buttons of social networks. You can find more information about the Shariff project here.
When you click on the buttons, a pop-up window appears in which you can log in with your data at the respective provider. Only after you have actively logged in will a direct connection to the social networks be established.
By logging in, you consent to the transfer of your data to the respective social media provider. This includes your IP address and information about which of our web pages you have visited. If you are connected to one or more of your social network accounts at the same time, the information collected will also be assigned to your corresponding profiles. You can only prevent this assignment by logging out of your social media accounts before visiting our website and before activating the buttons.
Käufersiegel rating system
We would also like to point out the following:
We use the Käufersiegel rating system. After placing your order, we would like to ask you to rate and comment on your purchase. For this purpose, we will write to you as part of the contract processing, using the technical system of the provider of the buyer seal rating tool, Händlerbund Management AG, Torgauer Strasse 233 B, 04347 Leipzig, within the scope of order data processing. Your email address will only be used for this purpose and will not be used for further advertising or passed on to other third parties. The personal data stored in the technical system of the buyer seal rating tool in this context will be deleted 3 months after the delivery of the goods recorded for the rating.
Contact form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal email to us is sufficient for this. The legality of the data processing operations carried out prior to revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions—in particular retention periods—remain unaffected.
